Apple may release another iOS 6 update this week to fix the lock screen and Microsoft Exchange bugs that arose last week in iOS 6.1.
According to German website iPhone-Ticker, an iOS 6.1.2 update could arrive by Wednesday, which would join the recent iOS 6.1.1 update for iPhone 4S? in fixing issues with the mobile OS.
On Friday, a lock screen bug occurred that bypasses a user?s lock screen and gives access to an iPhone 5s contacts and photos ? the bug was acknowledged by Apple, who said it ?will deliver a fix in a future software update?.
On the same day, Apple and Microsoft recommended iOS users stop accessing Calendar items until the companies can resolve the problem with the Exchange servers that occurs when iOS devices try and sync. The issue affects devices running iOS 6.1, which includes iPhone 3GS, 4 and 5; fourth- and fifth-generation iPod touch models; iPad 2, third- and fourth-generation iPads; and iPad Mini.
The iOS 6.1.1 update, released last Tuesday, fixed a 3G issue with Apple?s fifth-generation iPhone that affected the smartphone?s performance and internet connectivity. A jailbreak for iOS 6.1.1 launched just 24 hours after Apple?s update.
